HARPER Macleod LLP, one of Scotland’s leading commercial law firms, has made two new additions, welcoming Nick Kemp and Omar Ali to their expanding Energy & Natural Resources team.
Headed up David Bone, Harper Macleod’s Energy & Natural Resources team now has 12 full-time energy lawyers, who are supported by nine additional Partners, each working within specialist areas such as planning, construction, commercial contracts and community benefit who can be called upon as required.
Nick Kemp brings over seven years experience in working with landowners of all sizes, from individual crofters and small estates, to entire island communities and will be assisting them in taking full advantages of the opportunities arising from renewable energy.
Omar Ali also has over seven years experience working in the energy sector and spent time on secondment with one of the UK’s largest renewables developers. Omar will be working on a full range of projects including wind farms, hydro stations and biomass plants, from initial development, throughout the planning process and into construction and operation.
