This artistic display will lead its viewers across the city of Nantes on a trail spanning centuries and genres
TO give you more information on this artistic whirlwind, we’ve posted an article on our My France à Moi blog along with photos of our recent press trip on Flickr .
Here’s a quick look of what’s going on across the pond:
‘A Journey to Nantes’ is an 8.5 km urban tour across the city which will last until 19 August 2012. On the trail, visitors will be guided through modern artworks to memorable pieces of Nantes’ heritage.
There are around thirty stops, running from East to West. Other highlights along the way include the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, the ‘Banana Warehouse’ (HAB Gallery) and the Marine World Carousel.
This project will, in part, take the artistic relay of the six year Estuaire Trail project (following the Loire Estuary) which is now in its final year.
Both projects boast proportions of modest and immense scale including everything in between. Many of these artistic displays have been taken on as permanent exhibits and are scattered throughout the region to pay homage to its cultural heritage.
So head on over to our blog to find out more about this great event and to start planning your own ‘Journey to Nantes!’
