ABERDEEN-based industrial service provider, BIS Salamis, has announced an appointment to its board of directors with immediate effect.
Mike McKay, 47, joins the board as commercial director having worked with the company for four years in the role of commercial manager.
With more than 25 years experience in both commercial and general management, Mike’s appointment will bring a diverse range of industry knowledge to the existing BIS Salamis board.
In his new position Mike will play a key part in ensuring BIS Salamis continues to expand its current market share through the continued growth and strategic development of its core fabric maintenance services as well as a range of specialist services.
BIS Salamis managing director, Mike Main, believes the latest board appointment has come at an important time for the company.
He said: “Due to the growth of the business over the past year we felt it was time to strengthen the board of directors to allow us to best meet the changing needs of our clients.
“Mike has brought a great deal to the team since he joined BIS Salamis and his commitment to ensuring we continue to deliver the highest possible level of service to our clients ensures he will be a key addition to the board.”
Within his new role, Mike McKay, is looking forward to building on existing client relationships and exploring new opportunities for the company as a whole.
