PEOPLE recently made redundant from Forfar based company, Ross and Bonnyman are being invited to an event to help them back in to employment.
It is hoped those affected will attend the Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE) redundancy support event being held on Tuesday, February 21.
The event, led by Skills Development Scotland, will take place in Forfar at Reid Hall, Castle House from 10am until 1pm and include advice on benefits and tax credits, career guidance, supported job searches, advice on business start-ups, local training opportunities and alternative employment in the area.
Face to face help and advice will be on offer from organisations including Skills Development Scotland, Angus College, Jobcentre Plus, Angus Council and HMRC.
An invitation is extended to anyone in the area who is facing redundancy or who has recently been made redundant.
Rose-Marie Stewart, who organised this PACE event, said: “Dealing with redundancy can be a daunting experience. In order to respond to these tough times, and help those who have been made redundant, it is vital that we provide the workforce with the necessary support.
“Skills Development Scotland supported by national and local partners, delivers PACE, which is the Scottish Government’s national strategic framework for responding to redundancy situations.
“The local PACE team will work closely with people affected by redundancy in an aim to minimise the time they are out of work.”
