A SCOTTISH financial planning firm has lent its support to developing sport in Scotland by donating its fees to Stirling’s professional football club.
Central Scotland-based Create and Prosper Financial Services is offering customers the chance to donate a proportion of their fees to Stirling Albion FC, in order to help strengthen the team and provide financial assistance to the Second Division club.
The offer is open to any supporters of the club who use Create and Prosper as their financial advisor and is applicable to any services that are purchased from the firm. Under the deal, all clients will be given the opportunity donate ten per cent of their total fees to Stirling Albion FC – and supporters of the club will also be given an additional ten per cent discount off their fees when they purchase any services from Create and Prosper.
If the initiative proves successful, the firm also plans to roll out similar opportunities to donate fees to other sporting clubs across Scotland in the future.
Chris Hodgson, director at Create and Prosper, said: “We regularly provide financial planning advice and services to clients in Stirling and across the Central Belt, so we wanted to give them the opportunity to put their fees to good use in the community.
“Stirling Albion plays a big part of the town’s culture and has a proud history, so we are delighted to have been appointed as their official financial advisers. Under this business relationship we will be giving Stirling Albion supporters the opportunity to donate a proportion of their fees to the club, which we hope will help provide some financial assistance to the team and further enhance local football in the region.
“We will also be offering discounts to all supporters of the club for any financial planning services they require, and they will also have access to a freephone number to help with their financial needs.
“We hope that this business relationship will prove popular among fans of the club. If successful, we aim to expand the initiative and offer supporters of other Scottish teams the chance to donate fees to their clubs in the future.”
