SHOPPERS in Glasgow are in for a real treat from tomorrow (8th September) as hip fashion retailer, Core, opens its new premises at St. Enoch Centre.
The west of Scotland chain, which has been trading at St. Enoch since 2005, has moved to a larger 1,400 square feet location on the ground floor of the centre, and will now be stocking a wider range of top designer brands.
New product ranges from Lacoste, Criminal Damage and Voi will be available at the new store, along with existing favourites Nike, Timberland, Converse, Henleys, Jack and Jones, Bench and Gio-Goi.
With six other shops across the west of Scotland, Core has gone from strength to strength since it was established in 1994.
Director, Brian Caplan, runs the business in partnership with his brother, Richard Caplan, and manager, Gerry Kane.
He said: “We’re really excited about the launch of our new and improved city centre store here at St. Enoch Centre.
“As a Scottish company with strong roots throughout the west of Scotland, St. Enoch is the ideal location for us – right in the heart of the city’s busy Style Mile.
“After building up a strong customer base, we were eager to improve and expand our retail offerings, and to bring even more quality brands to our Glasgow customers.
“We look forward to welcoming shoppers to our new store, and will be running exclusive discount offers during Freshers’ Week at the end of September to celebrate.”
Susan Nicol, general manager at St. Enoch Centre, said: “Core has been a brilliant retailer at the centre over the past six years, and we are very pleased that they have chosen to expand their offerings by opening a bigger retail unit.
“St. Enoch is known as a hot-spot for shopping and style – and it is thanks to designer outlets like Core that we have secured this reputation.
“We look forward to building on this status and extending our exclusive retail offerings over the coming years.”
