EDEN Court Theatre is on the look-out for enthusiastic, committed young dancers to join their new Eden Court Young Dance Company and take part in ‘U.Dance 2012’, a major youth dance event in London, showcasing the talent of hundreds of young dancers from across the UK.
Eden Court already runs over 15 dance classes every week for all ages, as part of its extensive Arts Education Programme.
Successful dancers will attend the U.Dance Scottish Connections event in Glasgow, 19 and 20 November. Participants will then focus their efforts on a Scottish showcase on 25 February 2012, from which groups will be selected to perform at U.Dance in London, 13-15 July 2012.
Eden Court’s dance artist, Louise Marshall, is very excited about this opportunity for young dancers from the Highlands to participate in such a prestigious and high-profile national event.
Auditions for the Eden Court Young Dance Company take place on Saturday 3 September 2011, from 10.00-11.30, in Studio 2 at Eden Court.
The auditions are open to young people who will be aged 11 – 19 years on 13 July 2012.
