A NEW home study option from Learning Curve, means that developing new skills and keeping up-to-date is easier than ever for UK counsellors.
Learning Curve now offer a number of CPD courses developed with the requirements of professional counsellors in mind.
The courses can be undertaken by postal home study or online. Counsellors are able to work through the study material at their own pace.
Course tutor, Traci Gaunt, explains: “Most professional bodies for counsellors are happy to accept distance learning courses as part of the counsellor’s CPD mix, as long as the provider is accredited.
“Learning Curve is accredited by the ODLQC, the main professional body for distance learning within the UK.
“Home study is a great option for busy counsellors as it allows them to fit study around their client work and other commitments.”
Professional counsellors undertake to complete a certain number of hours of CPD every year. This ensures they keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date and also offers an opportunity to develop new skills.
Learning Curve’s CPD courses for counsellors include: Online Counselling, Relationship Counselling, Family Therapy and Grief and Bereavement Counselling.
