ONE of Stevenson College Edinburgh’s students is set to collect yet another prize for the college’s award winning photography department.
The only question is, which of the shortlisted Stevenson students will win?
This week, The Herald announced the nominees for their Student Press Awards 2011, which recognises Scotland’s most-talented student journalists, photographers, production staff and editors.
The talent at Stevenson has excelled in the Best Student Photographer category again this year, with the shortlist consisting solely of students from Stevenson College Edinburgh.
Head of Photography at Stevenson, Alan McEwan, said: “It is fantastic to see our students being recognised for their excellent work, yet again! We are getting used to winning photography prizes but to have all of the nominations come from Stevenson is a new high!”
The nominees for the award, sponsored by The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture, are Jon Davey (BA Photography), Ivan Arlandis, Angela Isac and Otto Koota (all from HND Photography, Year 2).
The winners will be announced at a ceremony taking place at the home of the original Herald on 26 May 2011.
