RECENT research conducted by Scottish Widows found that consumer products and services; for instance, mobile phones and broadband, were considered much more significant than life insurance, fatal illness protection or income cover.
Says a spokesperson for Simplifydigital: “Almost 70 per cent of 5,000 Brits said that access to a broadband connection was fundamental to keep up with today’s digital rat race.
“This means that seven out of ten thought that broadband was crucial, while only 35 per cent felt the same way about financial and life covers.”
