Lisa Mayockand Sophie Buhaiare originally from South Pasadena and Los Angeles, respectively. They both moved to New York in 1999 to attend Parsons School of Design. In 2003, three weeks after graduation, the pair began making the first Vena Cava collection on their living room floor. They currently work out of their studio in Manhattan.
