ALIENATION Digital, the web design and digital marketing agency, has reported its most successful year to date thanks to a ten per cent increase in turnover during 2010.
Begins a spokesperson: “High-profile contract wins including PSD Golf (the licensed distributor of PGA Golf merchandise), Condor Cycles, Missing People and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama have helped fuel Alienation’s strong growth over the past 12 months.
“The company, founded in Glasgow in 1997, has also recently been ranked at 66th in the Recommended Agency Register for 2010 (Top 100 marketing services companies outside London) – a rise of eight places from its debut appearance at 74 last year.:
Managing director and founder, Neil Barr, says finding the “right people” to support this growth and aid the further expansion of both the London and Glasgow offices and portfolios is his priority for the year ahead.
He added: “I’ve been delighted with the results delivered by my talented team during 2010 which has really been an exceptional year for Alienation Digital. Our client list speaks for itself and we now have partnerships across the sectors: from retail, entertainment and leisure, to education, charities and the public sector.
“The last 12 months also saw the opening of our London office – where our presence was already strong thanks to high-profile clients such as Condor and Missing People – and one of Alienation’s key objectives for 2011 is to continue to grow the business beyond Scotland.
“The one thing I would say we need to support our growth during 2011 is adding the right people to the business; our recruitment process is ongoing to find talent with the skillsets and appetite to strengthen the creative offering of Alienation.”
Reflecting on some of the highlights enjoyed by Alienation Digital throughout 2010, during which it increased its staffcount from 13 to 18, Barr pointed to evidence of Alienation’s expertise leading to some staggering results.
He continued: “Many of the clients that Alienation Digital has worked with in 2010 have required a complete overhaul of their online presence.
“This has often involved introducing measurability to track website performance, developing persona groups to design a best architecture approach to information structures with the user in mind, developing bespoke functionality, and creating brochures with the ‘wow’ factor.
“This approach has generated some headline results, such as; a 2,336 per cent increase in international online sales for Scottoiler, a 1,088 per cent rise in traffic from search engines for Montgomery Litho Group, a 420 per cent hike in online revenue for Photocreator, 73 per cent more online sales enjoyed by Somerston Hotels and an increase of 50 per cent in online bookings for Hamilton Park Racecourse.
“It is these kind of results which have helped us to our best ever year in 2010 and we are fully committed to continuing that success and our expansion across the UK in the year ahead.”
