LADIES are being invited to an evening of shopping with a difference in Glasgow’s newly-refurbished Grand Central Hotel on Thursday (November 18th) to help raise funds for Y People.
Says a spokesperson: “The charity known for over 130 years as YMCA Glasgow has recently been rebranded as Y People and continues to support Glasgow’s vulnerable young people, enabling them to find accommodation and transform their lives for the better.
“A total of 26 exhibitors have confirmed they will take part in the ‘The Way Y Ladies Love to Shop’ event so far offering a wide selection of glamorous goodies including sparkling chocolates, personal shopping trips, mini wardrobe makeovers, jewellery, designer glasses, cakes and handbags made from Harris Tweed.”
Joe Connolly, chief executive of Y People, said:
“This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine and canapés in the luxurious environment of the newly-refurbished Grand Central Hotel, get some Christmas shopping done and browse the great variety of fabulous items on offer.
“The event is in aid of an excellent cause and the funds we raise will help Y People to continue to support some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of society.”
