ABERDEEN-based industrial services provider, BIS Salamis, has launched a new company-wide initiative – with a touch of magic.
More than 250 guests, comprising onshore staff, safety representatives and clients gathered at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Thursday, June 28 for the launch of Sixth Sense, which aims to make health and safety second nature.
The initiative brings together all aspects of BIS Salamis’ health and safety framework under one recognisable brand, reinforcing the company’s culture which encourages every member of staff to consider the safety of themselves and team members at every step.
During the event, magician Dynamo, who is best known for his unique blend of street magic and TV series Dynamo: Magician Impossible, entertained guests with a number of his trade mark close up illusions.
BIS Salamis managing director, Mike Main, was delighted to unveil the Sixth Sense initiative.
He said: “I believe it was extremely important to share the launch of our new health and safety programme with so many members of our team and clients, who all play a crucial role in the continued success of our projects on a day to day basis.
“The key aim of BIS Salamis’ campaign is to engage with our entire workforce through clear and concise communication, listening to our employees and improving awareness of the risks within the industry we work.
“The first stage of this was ensuring every member of the team had the chance to be involved in the brand, feel a part of the process and fully understand how we intend to make Sixth Sense a part of their working day.
“The feedback we have already received about the initiative has been extremely positive and there is a real sense of enthusiasm for the future of BIS Salamis and Sixth Sense.”
