ABERDEEN-based independent business advisors, Acumen Accountants and Advisors, has appointed a new director, following an internal promotion.
Lisa Bruce, who has 17 years industry experience, has been promoted from the position of business solutions manager and will be tasked with growing the outsourcing and Sage training arms of the business.
The new role will see Lisa take responsibility for furthering the firm’s book-keeping and payroll services along with promoting the benefits of Sage to both new and existing clients.
Lisa said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to director level during what is a very exciting time for Acumen Accountants and Advisors.
“I am looking forward to the challenges that go hand in hand with developing a company, especially in such important areas of growth within the industry. Around 90 per cent of small businesses run a Sage programme making this a key area for Acumen going forward.”
George Leadley, has joined the company as a consultant after retiring from the position of partner at Ritson Smith.

“George has a great deal of experience, which we are confident will be a key asset to us as we continue to build the business throughout Scotland.
