AN Aberdeenshire woman whose parents have both battled cancer is offering coffee and cakes to visitors in Stonehaven this week, to raise awareness of the disease.
Jane Davidson is inviting customers to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support .
It’s one of several events taking place locally on Friday, September 24.
This is the 20th year of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and the charity hopes to raise more than eight million pounds to fund vital medical, emotional and financial support services for people affected by cancer.
Jane, who recently lost her father to cancer, said: “Sadly cancer affects more people every year. My father died of cancer and my mother underwent treatment for breast cancer last year and I appreciate the amazing work which Macmillan do.”
“That’s why I’m encouraging people to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. It’s a great way of having fun and raising money for a good cause.”
