IF you missed the Library Book Sale last weekend, avid readers are being offered a second chance to get their hands on some bargain books.
The AK Bell Library in Perth has donated a selection of books, unsold at the recent book sale, to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity shop in St John’s Shopping Centre.
The books will be available for sale from Thursday 23rd September until 30th September with all the proceeds being added to the fundraising total for the shopping centre’s ’30 Days to Mac a Difference’ campaign.
Siobhan McConnell, centre manager, commented “We’re extremely grateful to the Library for this donation. Books are terribly popular with shoppers and at the bargain prices of £1 for hardbacks and 50p for paperbacks, there’s a real opportunity for avid readers to bag themselves a bargain and to help us raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. ”
