NOMINATIONS are now closed and five finalists have been selected for the next stage of Stewart Milne Homes’ new Neighbour of the Year competition.
Nominees Des and Germaine Mouncy, Margaret Garden and Trudy Pirie from Aberdeen, Brian Davis from Tongue and Nori Robertson from Arbroath will all go through to a public vote, with the chance to win a Mediterranean cruise.
Introduced for the first time this year, the Neighbour of the Year competition is designed to highlight some of Scotland’s most outstanding individuals that have gone the extra mile and made a difference within their community.
From the judging panel, John Low, managing director of Stewart Milne Homes North Scotland, commented: “The sheer volume of nominations received really signifies the quality of Scotland’s people and communities – reading through these entries has been a truly inspiring experience.
“Whilst every nomination was well deserved, the five finalists selected really represent North East Scotland’s finest, and people we should be very proud to call our neighbours.”
Voting for North Scotland’s Neighbour of the Year is now open until midnight on Thursday 23 September. Votes can be cast online at stewartmilnehomes.com or northsound1.com.
The winner will be revealed by Northsound Radio, live, on Friday 24 September.
