WHAT:
The Archery World Cup final, the biggest, most important archery competition ever to be staged in the UK, is the culmination of four qualifying World Cup events when the 32 best archers in the world (the top seven ranked archers from each category and discipline – recurve and compound archery; together with one wild card from the host nation in each category and discipline) bring the skill and tension of knockout archery matches into the very heart of Edinburgh for two days of thrilling competition; and a total prize fund of $144,000.

Scotland’s Commonwealth Games archery team
Presentation of the ten strong archery team who will be competing in both recurve and compound archery disciplines for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi to the World Cup final spectators.
There will be an opportunity to both photograph and interview members of the team.
Big Rory, ‘the nine-foot loveable Scotsman’, will be out for a walk in East Princes Street Gardens with Ochie, his wayward mongrel. Inevitably, there’s always total confusion as the amorous mutt careers around, peeing on lamp posts and heaven knows what else, with Rory in hot pursuit trying to contain the chaos.

The world’s best archers will showcase their incredible skills of control, calmness, technique and concentration under pressure for the biggest prize money in the sport.
Great Britain team archers (six) are strong medal contenders including Nicky Hunt (compound) ranked no. 1 in the world and former Olympic bronze medalist, Simon Terry (recurve), ranked no. 8 in the world.
