NEW Clyde 1 breakfast show ‘George and Suzie in the Morning’ is already setting the airwaves alight with its successful launch on Monday, August 30th.
Former drive time diva, Suzie McGuire, has joined king of the airwaves George Bowie to bring Clyde 1 listeners the hottest presenter pairing in Scotland to share their breakfast with.
The duo are the best of friends and are co-anchoring a feature packed entertainment show for the west of Scotland audience from 6am – 10 am every weekday.
Old favourites such as school anthems are still part of the show and there are entertaining new additions such as Suzie Saves the World, her benchmark drive time feature where super Suzie goes all out to solve listener problems.
Tracey McNellan, station director at Clyde, said:
“The launch show has been a fantastic success. George and Suzie have a great chemistry on and off air which comes through in their up-beat chat. Pairing them together at breakfast brings our listeners a truly fantastic, completely unique and genuinely exciting radio show.
“We have listened to feedback and looked closely at the music schedule. George & Suzie’s show is packed with the music the listeners want and the tempo and pace reflects the style and personality of the show.”
As part of the ongoing revitalisation project at the station, Clyde 1 also kicks of ‘No Repeat Workdays’. The scheduling does exactly what the title suggests ensuring nothing but the best hit music all day-long without any repeats between 9am and 3pm.
A new ‘drive time’ line up for Clyde 1 will be announced very soon bolstering the day time schedule and bringing more entertainment to Glasgow and the West of Scotland. Before the new show starts ‘drive time’ will be hosted by familiar faces from the Clyde 1 presenter line-up and include great music, fantastic features and up to the minute news and sport.
