LAW firm, McGrigors, is hosting a debate with leading human resources and occupational health experts at the Marcliffe Hotel, Aberdeen, on May 19.
McGrigors say many clients are disadvantaged and exposed to potential risks by misunderstanding between HR and OH when it comes to the referral of sick employees and the preparation of occupational health reports.
Speakers at the event include Dr Alison Carroll of occupational health care firm Abermed, Christine Forbes who is HR manager at engineering contractors J P Kenny, and Peter Sharp, a partner in McGrigors’ employment and pensions team.
The debate will allow the speakers to identify issues which can lead to a communications breakdown and to generate learning points to enable the two parties to work better together.
