A SUCCESSFUL pilot scheme to promote the benefits of social media to small businesses and new-starts is now to be rolled out as a monthly event.
E-commerce company, NSDesign, teamed up with Business Gateway to deliver the Embrace the Space workshop through their network.
The initial event was used to gauge interested from businesses and was sold out within weeks.
As a result of the success, two sessions will now be held each month at the Business Gateway premises in Paisley and Clydebank.
Managing director of NSDesign, Gary Ennis, is a long-time advocate of social networking sites.
He said: “We had a fantastic response to the initial workshop which was oversubscribed to start with and we are delighted that these are now being rolled out on a monthly basis. It has been great working with Business Gateway on this as we are now reaching a far greater audience with our workshop.
“The feedback we have had from attendees so far has been great and there really is a keen interest out there from businesses of all sizes who want to see how they can capitalise on social networking and make it work for them.”

The response for the first event was really encouraging and showed that businesses in Renfrewshire were interested in learning how social media can benefit their company. The Paisley workshop will be held at Business Gateway (Gilmour Street) on Tuesday April 27th and the Clydebank workshop will be held in the Titan Enterprise Centre (next to Clydebank College) on Thursday April 29th.
