AN Ayrshire company has made a positive start to the new year by making a major capital investment in new machinery.
Irvine-based Kestrel Press have just installed a Konica Minolta BizHub C6501 Digital printing machine, costing in excess of £100,000.
Kestrel Press account manager, Graeme Ferguson, said: “A replacement of an older machine, the new Konica Minolta provides the perfect fit along side our range of other larger printing equipment, giving us the complete range from one copy to millions. In particular, it will improve still further the quality of our existing short-run colour work.
“We now aim to grow our service to existing clients for direct mail, and we now offer the complete added value service of print, fulfilment and distribution for our clients’ communications.”
Kestrel Press has been established for 36 years, and Graeme Ferguson is the third generation to enter the family-owned-and-run business.
The company is ISO9001 registered, and last year it completed the acquisition of the order book of Kilmarnock printing company, JH Greene, whose owners were retiring.
Graeme Ferguson concluded: “Due to difficult market conditions, Kestrel Press has evolved into more than a printing company, and we now see ourselves as a business partner to our clients. Our service and quality are excellent, and we always ensure that we offer value for money.
“We have a long and successful track record of delivering high quality print to a wide range of companies throughout the UK.”
