SCOTTISH hitmakers, When in Rome, have hit the right note with bosses at Glasgow University, having recently helped structure a new pop music module for the music department.
Director, David Sim, explains: “We were approached by Dr Jane Stanley of the University’s music department, and asked if we would help shape the learning package being offered to the department’s students. We were delighted to do that”.
Co-director, Iain Sim, adds: “We invited Dr Stanley to our studio in East Kilbride to show her how a modern pop record is written, arranged and recorded. We also took part in a video interview with Dr Stanley, discussing our song writing and production techniques. We really hope our input goes a little way to helping the university’s music students.”
