AWARD-winning housebuilder, CALA Homes, has chosen Dundee for the launch of its new collection of properties in its north region.
The next phase at CALA’s exclusive Sycamores development, on the city’s desirable western edge, at Liff, will feature the Signature Collection and is being released for sale early in the New Year.
Set in a beautiful woodland location, the first phase of grand four and five-bedroom luxury homes sold out at the beginning of this year.
Now house hunters in Dundee are being offered the first chance to own one of the new range of homes in the north of Scotland.
The latest Signature Collection features 21 new designs for four and five-bedroom detached family homes, with each new house style named after a traditional Scottish surname. Eight of these house types will be available at The Sycamores.
CALA architects and product designers held a series of focus groups, as part of the design phase, which led to CALA integrating the traditional styling synonymous with the brand with contemporary interior spaces to suit a modern lifestyle.
The new range typically features separate formal living and reception areas on the ground floor while, in most cases, offering an open-plan layout in the kitchen and family living area – something that has proved highly successful in CALA’s contemporary-themed Capital Collection of homes, which featured in The Sycamores’ first phase.
CALA Homes North sales and marketing director, Andrea Joyce, said: “The Signature Collection of Homes is designed to suit our customers’ lifestyles and evolving needs.
“Our west of Scotland team has already received very positive feedback from visitors to their development at Kinnaird Gardens in Larbert and we are confident that Tayside purchasers will be equally impressed with our new homes.”
CALA’s high specification kitchens and bathrooms are a key feature of the new range. An integrated ‘appliance bank’ concept in the kitchen grants customers a practical and stylish selection of integrated appliances with a number of upgrade options available, varying the selection of appliances included to suit any lifestyle.
The exterior of the new homes incorporates a ‘Scottish mix’ of stone features as CALA moves away from the blonde smooth stone used on previous ranges.
Sloping eaves have been built into the roof to present a more traditional character. Other exterior features include a steel ‘rafter tie’ which will be used in some of the new house types or a feature keystone which will be used to add further character to the frontage of each home.
Set in the former grounds of Liff Hospital, The Sycamores enjoy a tranquil environment in open countryside, offering a rural escape but close enough to reach the cities of Dundee or Perth in minutes.
Potential buyers considering one of the Signature Collection homes in Dundee have the opportunity to experience the new range in advance at three showhomes in Kinnaird Gardens, Larbert, where the Colville, Crichton and Moncrief designs are open to view.
