ANDREW Orr Ewing, of Glenalmond College in Perthshire, is to read at the service to mark the passing of the World War I generation to be held at Westminster Abbey on November 11th.
This is a great honour and privilege for Andrew as it continues the family’s link of service to the country.
Andrew’s great grandfather joined up aged 16 and was present at the Battle of Jutland during the First World War, his grandfather was also a naval officer and his father is currently serving in Afghanistan.
The service will be attended by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, together with senior politicians, military commanders, the families of ex-servicemen and many people from all over the country who wish to pay their own tribute.
