DID you hear the one about the three New Yorkers with Scottish roots who headed west to a German brewery on Glasgow Green for a laugh?
It’s no joke, if you fancy a laugh this Friday, you should go west. That’s because WEST, the Glasgow Green-based independent brewery, is hosting an exclusive preview night for the Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival American Homecoming showcase.
The showcase will feature three of the hottest comics from New York, all with Scottish roots, as part of the Homecoming Scotland 2009 celebrations. Compere, JoJo Sutherland, will welcome critically-acclaimed comics, Bernadette Pauley, Marshall and Danny Lobell to take to the stage at WEST.
WEST’s MD, Petra Wetzel, said: “Who ever said German’s don’t have a sense of humour! That cultural stereotype, and many others, will be laid to rest at WEST this Friday. We Germans are always game for a laugh Come and join us – you’ll end up laughing into your beer!”
The Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival American Homecoming showcase kicks off at 9:00pm on Friday 27th March at WEST Bar and Brewery, Templeton Building, Glasgow Green.
