A SPECIAL dinner to mark the 250th anniversary of Scotland’s bard, Robert Burns, will raise funds to help support victims and witnesses of crime.
The dinner for 60 guests, on Friday, January 30, 2009, will take place in the magnificent setting of the Drawing Room of Broomhall, the home of Lord and Lady Elgin, overlooking the Firth of Forth. Broomhall is an 18th century neo-classical mansion on the outskirts of the Fife village of Limekilns.
The recently-established Campaign Board of Victim Support Scotland (VSS) has enlisted the support of Lord and Lady Elgin to assist in raising funds for the national charity.
Award-winning chef, Craig Wood, and his team from the Wee Restaurant in North Queensferry, will prepare the meal.
The restaurant was recently awarded a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland and has been described by many restaurant critics as the best eating place in Scotland.
