YOU are invited to send a reporter / photographer / camera crew to capture a stunning photo opportunity launching the 2009 Fort William Mountain Festival.
Mike Pescod, chair of the Highland Mountain Culture Association Ltd, organisers of the festival, will give a brief overview of the 2009 programme of main events, films, lectures, guided walks, competitions, workshops, exhibitions, literature, photography and music.
If Mike looks nervous at the podium then he should be! The overview will be followed by a stunning photo opportunity – bridge swinging – close to Roy Bridge on the road to Fersit, a short drive away.
Mike Pescod will take the plunge! He will fling himself off the 20-metre high Fersit iron bridge over the River Fersit in Glen Spean (Grid ref. NN 341 806) swinging between the iron girders, a few feet above the water.
