HUNTERSTON B and Torness nuclear power stations have both been awarded the RoSPA ‘Order of Distinction’ in recognition of the stations’ continued focus on industrial safety and accident prevention.
The acclaimed ‘Order of Distinction’ recognises the power station’s achievement of 15 consecutive gold awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
This coveted award distinguishes the North Ayrshire and East Lothian based stations’ safety performance, considering not just accident rates, but all the pro-active activities and good practices that contribute to making a safer workplace.
