HEATHER Dunk has taken up post as the new principal and chief executive of Kilmarnock College.
Heather has over 20 years of experience in the education sector and joins Kilmarnock College from West Lothian College where she was vice-principal.
Heather brings a wealth of experience to the post having held senior management positions in the public and private sector for the last 15 years.
She has also served on the Board of the NHS in Fife.
On taking up her new position Heather said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as principal of Kilmarnock College and I am looking forward to leading the college at a time of significant change.
“I am passionate about the opportunities lifelong learning offers to individuals, organisations and communities and I am thrilled to be working with the staff of Kilmarnock College to make a real difference to people’s lives.
“By listening to our customers and working in partnership I believe that the college can contribute positively to community development and the Ayrshire economy.”
Stephen Brannagan, chair of Kilmarnock College board of management, said: “The board of management is pleased to welcome Heather to the team at Kilmarnock College.
“The college has undergone significant change over the past year and we are confident that the appointment of Heather as principal will further develop the college into a leading educational establishment.”
