THE number of ‘stags’ looking to party on at Bedlam is soaring as revellers respond to the credit crunch by ‘painting the town red’.
Bedlam Paintball’s locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen-Dundee have all benefited from a marked rise in bookings from stag parties as the credit crunch continues to bite throughout the UK.
Roman Rock, MD of Bedlam Group, said: “Unlike other industries that are suffering the full brunt of the credit crunch, our bookings are well up on last year’s figures. I suppose that despite a difficult economic climate, people still need to let off steam – perhaps more so in the teeth of a credit crunch. And we’ve noticed, more and more stag parties flying up from south of the border for the weekend to paint the town red – quite literally!
“As everyone knows, there can be a lot of tension in the run-up to a wedding, and paintballing is a great way to celebrate and have some fun with the guys before settling down to wedded bliss.”
As well as stag parties, Bedlam is proving popular with corporate team building; birthdays or people just looking for a fun day out with their mates. Among an expanded range of theme-park game zones at any of Bedlam are The Black Fortress and The Stagecoach Stand-off.
