EDINBURGH-based design consultants Nevis, the Adelphi Distillery and Simon Fraser, the current Lord Lovat, have launched a limited edition unchill-filtered ten-year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky commemorating Simon Fraser, the 11th Lord Lovat.
Known as the ‘Old Fox’, Lovat was said to be an ‘infamous Highland rogue’ who at Culloden ‘crossed’ the English and sent Clan Fraser to fight for Bonnie Prince Charlie.
History says he was the last peer ever beheaded, his last words being: “The more mischief, the better sport.”
Simon Fraser has commissioned Adelphi, Scotland’s most-acclaimed independent bottler of single malt Scotch whisky, to source a single cask of the highest quality, thus continuing the tradition of making a limited-edition whisky available to Clan Fraser members throughout the world.
