SCOTLAND’S nuclear power providers, British Energy, have scooped a double at a recent awards ceremony celebrating industrial safety and accident prevention.
Hunterston B Power Station, in Ayrshire received the commended award for the second year running, from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in Birmingham last month.
The coveted awards are an unprecedented achievement for a single power station, which would normally be presented to an entire organisation in the electricity sector.
