RAPIDLY-expanding healthy eating sandwich bar franchise Baguette Express opens its first outlet in England today (7th July 2007) at 42 Market Street, Halifax.
The Scottish-headquartered firm’s first foray south of the border marks a milestone in its growth, taking the number of Baguette Express sandwich bars to 16, and keeps it on track to hit its target of becoming the recognised market leader and the largest independent snack business in the UK within the next five years.
The franchisee partners for Baguette Express in Halifax are established publishing business partners Chris and Nick Charalambous and Gavin Pearson who are so taken by the potential of the Baguette Express franchise model that they are already scouting other possible locations for new outlets.
Billy Stenhouse, together with his brother, Robin, launched the Baguette Express franchise only last year and has watched demand for its freshly-baked products soar as more and more hungry consumers opt for fast, but healthy, snacks available at bargain prices.
He said: “We’re delighted that such successful entrepreneurs as Gavin, Chris and Nick have realised the business potential inherent in our healthy fast food franchise and are keen to spread the word about Baguette Express throughout England.

Baguette Express is already hatching plans to opens its second sandwich bar in England in Carlisle and expects to have a total of 30 sandwich bars throughout the UK in place by the end of the year.
