BEANSCENE, the coffee and music house chain expanding rapidly across Scotland, opens its fifth Edinburgh store today (20.07.07) in Commercial Quay, Leith, Edinburgh.
Located just 100 yards from the main door of The Scottish Executive Building and less than five minutes walk from the Ocean Terminal, the latest Beanscene offers customers a chance to sit back and soak up some sounds while chilling out over an espresso and a bite to eat in their own backyard.
Gordon Richardson, Beanscene founder, said: “I’ve always known that Leith is the right place for Beanscene to be and am delighted to have secured such a great location down on Commercial Quay. There’s already a great buzz around the place which perfectly complements the Beanscene vibe.”
The Leith Beanscene opens for business today from 7.30am – 11pm, seven days a week, offering a broad selection of coffees, soft drinks and accompanying muffins, baguettes, sandwiches and pastries. Its food offering, available all day, extends to soups, salads, nachos, tapas, pizza and paella – with healthy options for kids. Additionally, Beanscene stores operate a Bring Your Own Bottle policy for diners.
Edinburghers have certainly shown that they have an insatiable appetite for Beanscene’s unique blend of coffee and music. In addition to five Beanscenes spread around the capital’s neighbourhoods, this year has also seen the launch of Beanscene Espresso at the city’s South Gyle Business Park. Beanscene Espresso is the new, faster-paced little sister brand catering for the on-the-go market.
Richardson said: “We’re delighted with the reception both Beanscene and Beanscene Espresso have had from the capital and look forward to continuing to provide our unique blend of music and coffee to our expanding customer base in Edinburgh.
“What sets us apart from other coffee houses and music retailers is that we bring our passion for music and our constant pursuit of the ultimate caffeine kick together at each and every store. Beanscene is a state of mind, somewhere to sit back, relax and take life in on its most simple and enjoyable level; the simple concept of coffee, music and conversation – for all the family.”
There are now 15 Beanscene stores spread throughout Scotland, the growth strategy is to open up to 45 stores over the course of the next three years, comprising three managed superstores/ venues surrounded by a mix of up to 15 Beanscene and Beanscene Espresso stores.
