PIERRICK Athukorola , a sixth year pupil at George Watson’s College, won the Academic Excellence Award at the SQA star awards, hosted by TV presenter, Kaye Adams.
He sat his Highers while still 16, and achieved seven A passes, all at Band 1.
While in S5, he played a very active role as finance director in his Young Enterprise company, which marketed eco-friendly bags. The company won the best company in Lothian region award and went on to compete in the Scottish final.
He is an all-rounder, playing guitar and is working to Grade 8 piano. He plays competitive tennis at weekends.
Pierrick is applying to read Engineering at university.
