BEANSCENE has marked the latest stage in its evolution into a broader-based lifestyle business with a new emphasis placed on a casual dining evening offering.
The evening food offering is targeted at Beanscene’s established 25-50
year-old demographic looking to wind down with a drink or two in a
laid-back environment where family and friends can soak up some sounds
while grazing from an appetising selection of freshly prepared foods and
snacks offering great value for money in absorbing, informal surroundings.
Beanscene offers a tempting selection of tapas plates, stone baked pizza,
and nachos as well as a wide selection of coffees, soft drinks, ice blended drinks
and accompanying muffins, baguettes, sandwiches and pastries – with a
healthy options menu available all day for kids.
Customers can also enjoy a beer or glass of wine through Beanscene’s
popular Bring Your Own Bottle When You Dine policy while chilling out to
an in-store live acoustic performance or its unique triple A (Alternative,
Adult, Album) format in-store and internet radio station.
Having succeeded from the outset at distinguishing itself from the competition by insisting that the music it plays is every bit as important as its coffee, Beanscene’s branding re-alignment is from ‘coffee and music house’ to new ‘food, coffee, music’.
Gordon Richardson, Beanscene founder, said: “Beanscene has never been just
about the coffee; it’s always been about lifestyle and a state of mind.
That’s why we recently introduced a pioneering music download store
enabling customers to purchase any song that catches their ear as they
hear it, either by download or by sms text, as they while away an evening
enjoying some good food and drink with friends.
“The broadening of our food offering underlines our long-held commitment
to ensure that Beanscene is somewhere that 25-50 year-olds can kick back
and take life in on its most simple and enjoyable level; the simple
concept of food, coffee, music and good company – all the ingredients
required for a great evening in or out.”
There are currently 15 Beanscene stores spread throughout Scotland with a
growth strategy to open up to 45 stores over the course of the next three
years, comprising three managed superstores/ venues surrounded by a mix of
up to 15 Beanscene and Beanscene Espresso stores.
