THE Royal Pharmaceutical Society has appointed Pagoda PR to provide an integrated PR and PA service to its Scottish arm.
The Society which leads and represents the profession of pharmacy in the UK, will be working with Pagoda to help secure its role within an integrated NHS.
Managing director, Ian Coldwell, commented:
“We believe our track record in delivering integrated public affairs and public relations programmes across a wide range of sectors from retail to regeneration, makes us a natural fit for RPS.”
Public affairs work will be led by Pagoda’s chair and health sector specialist, Michael Hirst, and policy director, Keith Geddes. Consultant, Lynne Veitch will also be working on the account.
The account win reflects an increase in business for Pagoda from London-based companies and organisations, who now recognise the need for specific Scotland-focused PR and PA programmes. The agency already handles public relations for The Crown Estate and Waitrose in Scotland.
Pagoda has also been appointed to manage corporate PR and public affairs for The Scottish Leadership Foundation (SLF). SLF, an independent, not-for-profit organisation, promotes the development of leadership within the public services in Scotland.
Pagoda PR has scaled up its staff team with the appointment of trainee account executive, Shaheena Abbas, who joins after completing her degree in PR and Media at Queen Margaret University.
