TURKEY, turkey sandwiches, turkey curry… and just in case that wasn’t enough, more turkey. Sounds familiar?
Many of us are tired of the traditional festive platter and are hungry for a more sophisticated, cosmopolitan and glamorous way to celebrate the season.
The Montpeliers group has responded cheerfully with an exciting range of ideas from the Bellini Breakfast to exotic Mediterranean-inspired feasts as part of its diverse seasonal offerings at its portfolio of award-winning bars and restaurants.
Imagine starting your Christmas shopping blitz or having an alternative office Christmas by enjoying a breakfast of peach and cranberry Bellini and Eggs Benedict followed by delicious Belgian waffles. Both of these are on offer at venues rick’s and Indigo (yard).
Each of the Montpeliers venues is offering their own special Christmas menus – with each providing a turkey alternative for those who’d rather not equate our feathered friend with the festive season.
Non-turkey dishes include starters of marinated chicken skewers with spiced tomato chutney, mains of four cheese gnocchi with rocket and parsnip crisps, and medallions of beef with brandy and wild mushroom sauce, finished off by desserts such as clementine and amaretti cheesecake.
And there is an added bonus for those who want to continue the festivities once the plates are clean and glasses empty. Club nights will be happening throughout December at Montpeliers’ chic clubs Lulu and Opal Lounge.
And once the bars and the clubs close, the party does not have to end there. As a special gift to Christmas customers, Tigerlily and rick’s are offering preferential room rates throughout December.
Lucy Henderson, marketing manager for Montpeliers, said: “Making your festive season memorable, fun and stylish is at the top of most people’s Santa lists.
“We wanted to offer our customers that bit more. Nowadays, and especially here at Montpeliers, paper hats and bad cracker jokes are not all people want to celebrate Christmas.
“It’s nice to keep in a bit of the traditional but to add that bit extra to make the event extra special. That’s why you will not only find superb turkey dinners on all our menus, but also novel alternatives such as our Bellini Breakfasts that give people a real choice.”
