WEST brewery, bar & restaurant, located at the iconic Templeton Building at Glasgow Green, is launching a regular series of free live jazz performances at its 440 seat Bavarian beer hall on Sunday afternoons.
Starting on Sunday 13th April with a performance by Liquid Jazz, followed by Jazz Co. on 27th April, WEST aims to host to a live band every Sunday from 2pm-5pm performing jazz, funk, rock, latin and blues in the main bar area.
German brewery owner, Petra Wetzel, said: “What better way to enjoy your Sunday afternoon than having a spot of lunch, a refreshing beer brewed right here on the premises, whilst listening to a live jazz band?
“There’s no charge for coming along and enjoying the music and we welcome all age groups – so you can bring the children along as well. We’ve got some of Glasgow’s best bands lined up throughout the spring and summer so fans of jazz should go WEST on a Sunday! ”
Liquid Jazz is a quartet consisting of Andy Mulligan (Tenor Sax), Iain (Mac) McIntyre (Electric Bass), Frank Cairns (Electric Guitar) and Billy McGrory (Drums) that has been a regular on the Glasgow jazz scene since forming in 2003. While Jazz Co. is a Glasgow five-piece band with two horn players who are regular performers in all the favourite jazz venues across the city performing traditional standards and more up-to-date pieces.

WEST brewery, bar & restaurant is open seven days a week, 11am till 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am to midnight Friday and Saturday. Brewery tours are available by arrangement.
