YOU might have thought that charity begins at home, but not according to renowned fundraiser ‘Curry King; Charan Gill MBE, who insists that charity begins at The Quay.
Having recently hosted the official launch of Care for a Curry?, the new flagship fundraising initiative of leading dementia charity Alzheimer Scotland with an evening of fine Indian dining in the Chubara Indian Restaurant at The Quay Complex at Musselburgh’s quaint Fisherrow Harbour, Charan is keen to host other events aiming to raise funds for good causes at the venue.
Mr Gill said, “I’ve always believed passionately in the principle of giving something back to the community, which is why I like to get involved personally in supporting a number of charities.
“That’s why I’m issuing an open invitation to anyone involved in fundraising to come to The Quay to host their special event. We’ve got great experience of organising successful fundraising events and, together, we can make a real difference to the lives of people in need.”
