WEST Brewery, Bar & Restaurant, located in the iconic Templeton Building at Glasgow Green, has launched a season of world-class jazz, contemporary and improvised music on the Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th of September with renowned international group, The John Escreet Project featuring David Binney.
The concerts, organised by WEST in association with Wee Jazz Promotions, open a season that promises to enthral audiences with music that has, until now, been hard to find in the Glasgow area.
German brewery owner, Petra Wetzel, said: “Over the next few months, we’ll be bringing some of the highest quality musicians from the world stage along with the cream of the Scottish jazz scene to WEST.
“Having introduced Sunday afternoon jazz sessions at our beer hall earlier this year, and sponsored the inaugural Glasgow Fringe Jazz Festival, we’re delighted to secure these performances from such a renowned musical talent as John Escreet.
“These concerts represent an extremely rare chance to see exceptional musicians perform in the UK, playing Escreet’s acclaimed original music from his new album in such an intimate setting.”
The much-anticipated UK tour of ‘The John Escreet Project’ marks Escreet’s triumphant homecoming after spending a successful two years in New York.
