BONK & Co Edinburgh now incorporates long-established wood burning stove specialist The Burning Question Edinburgh.
The Burning Question Edinburgh opened in 1985 and was borne out of a start-up venture between four people all involved in the stove industry, including Nial Ogilvie and Bonk & Co’s founder, William Dolby.
Nial went on to take The Burning Question forward but the two companies have since maintained a very close working relationship.
Now, both companies have come together in a progressive business agreement that marks the start of a new era for both.
The Burning Question Edinburgh’s existing premises in Cumberland Street are now closed and managing director, Nial Ogilvie, has moved into Bonk’s new Edinburgh showroom at Abbeyhill.
From there, he will handle all installations exclusively for Bonk & Co.
Edinburgh manager, Alex Dolby, welcomed the move as an exciting step forward in the life of Bonk in the capital.
Alex said: “Nial is very experienced, which can only make our existing presence in the market even stronger. The move not only means The Burning Question Edinburgh has state of the art premises from which to work but now Bonk has a trusted and knowledgeable installation team, which is unique to Edinburgh and Lothians.”
Nial added: “It is great to, once again, be involved in a large retail outfit and I am really looking forward to sharing my experience with Alex and the team. I always wanted to have someone to pass on my experience and knowledge to before I call it a day.
“I have worked alongside Alex’s family for many years and it is great to see the two families back together. The bond we share means the service we can offer our customers is second to none and it is a very exciting time for us all.”
