GLASGOW’S alt pop rock contenders, Penny and The Restless, are all set to follow in the famous footsteps of The Beatles – with a gig at The Cavern in Liverpool on Wednesday 18 May.
Lead singer, Penny Lamb, said: “Glasgow and Liverpool have always shared a vibrant music scene and all the band members are huge Beatles fans so we’re thrilled to be playing our first gig south of the border in the venue where The Beatles were discovered.”
Already creating a buzz online through Facebook, Twitter and Reverbnation for their debut EP, ‘Breathe’, and garnering critical plaudits aplenty from various music biz veterans, Penny and The Restless have been influenced by, amongst others, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Incubus, Lissie and Paolo Nutini.
In addition to Penny, the band are made up of: Paul Ferri (lead guitar and bass), Martin Malloy (bass and guitar) and Blair Andrews (drums).
