INTERNATIONALLY-experienced hotel executive, Mark Platt, has taken over the reins at one of Glasgow’s leading hotels.
Mark has taken over as general manager at the multi, award-winning Holiday Inn Theatreland in Glasgow, having been handpicked for the role by hotel owner, Maurice Taylor.
Mark’s hotel career spans three decades, and as well as holding senior roles with Hilton, Forte and IHG, he also brings with him a wealth of international experience.
Mark has returned to the city following a number of years spent in managerial positions in top class properties including Moscow Aerostar Hotel, Hotel Al Khozama in Saudi Arabia and, most recently, Al Safa Hotel Apartments in Qatar.
The appointment follows the departure of Denis MacCann, who left the role earlier this year to work with Taylor on another project.
