SCOTTISH butcher, Simon Howie, has recorded a surge in demand for its Black Gold premium quality Scottish beef amongst upmarket hotels and restaurants throughout the UK.
Hand selected for Simon Howie under the Black Gold label, only the finest Scottish beef is sourced from traditionally-reared cattle herds, grass fed in Aberdeenshire and the North East of Scotland.
Steven Lynn, Scottish sales manager at Simon Howie Foods, said: “Having recently experienced a significant rise in sales of Black Gold, we’re confident that demand for this premium product will only continue to grow amongst approved stockists and restaurateurs with a demonstrable commitment to quality Scottish beef.”
Black Gold is produced to the highest standards of farm and animal welfare.
Only cattle from fully traceable herds of genuine Scottish origin are eligible.
With all beef traditionally matured on the bone for enhanced flavour, consistent tenderness and succulence from cattle raised on the lush pastures of Aberdeenshire and the North East of Scotland makes Black Gold a unique eating experience.
Once selected, the beef is traditionally matured on the bone for a minimum of 14 days before being processed either on the bone or as boneless cuts.
All beef is then clearly identified to give buyers complete reassurance of quality and traceability.
