THE Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns has introduced a regular programme of Funday Sunday festivities for families seeking fresh ways to entertain the kids over the weekend – for free!
Feature a rolling roster of activities – from face painters to balloon modellers – the new Funday Sundays at The Avenue take out the hassle factor and put the fun back into family shopping by mixing entertainment to occupy the kids with opportunities to browse and hunt for bargains amongst a variety of retail outlets within the one covered location.
Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, said: “Following the success of our first farmers’ market, we’ve decided to offer something special every Sunday at The Avenue to make family shopping an even more enjoyable experience.
“And the surprise element to Funday Sundays is that the entertainment on offer will change constantly. This will keep it fresh, which is important, because, as every parent knows, kids can get bored easily, which is no fun when you’ve got shopping to do!”
The Avenue Shopping Centre offers shoppers an alternative to sprawling trolley-dash shopping culture with a comprehensive range of outlets offering a warm and welcoming shopping experience conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
