FORMED two years ago, in the teeth of the recession and an extremely challenging housing market, Glasgow-based Cairn’s estate agency division has bucked the recession with a growing number of properties on its stock – and a growing number of sales.
From a standing start, Cairn currently lists more than 60 units at any one time and is consistently selling ten per cent of its stock on a monthly basis – figures that stand in stark contrast to a widely reported ‘flat’ housing market!
Cairn managing director, David Rowand, puts much of that success down to the fact that his sales team is comprised of extremely experienced personnel who, between them, have accrued over 65 years experience.
“Our sales manager and senior negotiator have both previously worked together in other west end agencies and are very fortunate to have built up a superb working relationship,” he said.
“That means that our sales team, led by Tracey Bailey, does not only advise sellers but can also guide clients on purchasing properties at the best price based on our vast knowledge of the area and market conditions.”
Amongst the range of property sales handled by Cairn’s expanding estate agency division are new homes and developments, second hand sales, residential investments, Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO), buy to lets and repossessions.
Yet despite the success of its estate agency, Cairn is much more than ‘just an estate agent’.
