AT last, the mystery behind the surge in demand for the services of Cairn Estate and Letting Agency’s maintenance team can be revealed – and it’s not been the damaging effects of a long, harsh winter.
Says a spokesperson: “Whilst the freezing winter conditions has undoubtedly taken its toll on the fabric of some properties requiring some urgent repairs to be made – it seems that Cairn’s quartet hunky handymen is the real reason why the firm’s maintenance hotline has gone red hot!”
The four in question – 24 year-old New Zealander, Casey Gibson; 32 year-old Chris Tulloch, from Glasgow; 24 year-old Sean Murray from Glasgow; and 26 year-old Fijian, Peni Navu – are all rugby players and are apparently the preferred housewives’ choice to provide all sorts of odd jobs throughout the west of Scotland.
Zoe McClymont, operations manager at Cairn, said: “We were genuinely puzzled by the sudden need for urgent repairs – until we twigged that the vast majority of callers were female. And when more than one caller requested the presence of ‘our hunky handymen’, the penny finally dropped!”
Cairn’s maintenance team carry out a comprehensive range of repairs across various property types, from student accommodation to penthouse flats.
